Luftbild Rendsburg - Rendsburg feierte 2024 das 825. Stadtjubiläum | Die Eisenbahnhochbrücke über den Kanal, die 1913 eingeweiht wurde, wurde zum Wahrzeichen der Stadt. Nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg siedelten etwa 10.000 Flüchtlinge und Vertriebene in Rendsburg an, was zum Wachstum der Stadt beitrug. 1945 besetzten britische Truppen die Stadt, und das britische Besatzungsrecht wurde 1955 aufgehoben. Die Garnisonsgeschichte endete 2009 mit dem Abzug der letzten Soldaten. Rendsburg feierte 2024 das 825. Stadtjubiläum.
